Like it or not, work ethic is an integral part of success. Strong ethics is not an option. Work ethics spearheads productivity, team work and overall success.
Be on Time
It's not cool to be late. Punctual people leave a good impression wherever they go.
Take Deadlines Seriously
A complacent attitude is detrimental. Work sincerely and meet targets on time.
Finish what you start
Obstacles will definitely come up. Keep persevering and complete the task no matter how hard it gets.
Don't Overcommit
Be realistic and don't commit to more than you can deliver. Not being able to deliver in the end doesn't do anybody any good.
I have a strong work ethic. If I say I'm going to do something, I do it!" - Viggo Mortensen
Prioritize
You can't do it all or have it all. Prioritize your tasks and tackle the most important first. Delegate the rest.
Minimal Distractions
Avoid personal calls at work unless an emergency. Minimal texting and no social media. While at work focus on work.
Don't Cut Corners
Quick and smart work does not mean reduction in quality or crossing legal lines. Be careful!
"Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do." - Potter Stuart
Refrain from Gossip
Talking behind your employers' or co-workers' backs will only destroy your relationship with your peers and employers.
Take Short Breaks
Overworking, burning out, etc. is detrimental to productiveness. Step outside, get some fresh air and allow your mind to relax.
Play Nice
Be fair and just in the decisions you make. Don't trample those below you and treat everyone with respect and dignity.
"Play fair, be prepared for others to play dirty, and don't let them drag you into the mud." - Richard Branson
Give Your Best
Offer yourself whole-heartedly to each goal. Giving it your best shot will always yield results in the long run.
"It takes less time to do what is right, than to explain why you did it wrong." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Do What's Right
You'll face all kinds of curve balls in life. In every situation, do what's right. That will help you stay out of trouble.
"What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right." - Albert Einstein
Keep Learning
Develop a passion to keep on learning. A hunger and desire to learn is the most important work ethic because it guarantees individual and corporate success.
"If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself." - Henry Ford
